Get discounts on food, rent, shows, movies and services by getting a College of Southern Nevada student ID. The discount program can save students money.
“In just six days of having a student ID, I think I’ve saved over $25 with all the food discounts that they offer,” says CSN student Christy Munger.
This year’s list has 43 discounts throughout the valley. Vendors offer deals at specified locations so check the list. Some of the offerings include 10 percent off food from Panda Express, 30 percent off tickets from Chris Angel’s “Believe”, 10 percent off donuts from Krispy Kreme and 15 percent off clothing from J. Crew Factory. Many other offers are available and students should take advantage of them why they last.
Lizbeth Gonzalez, CSN student government vice president, says, “The discounts are like a CSN tradition.” She said the list changes year to year at the vendors’ discretion.
“I didn’t even know we had [the discounts],” said CSN student Katrina Payne.
The process of acquiring a student ID is simple: bring $2, a valid ID and a printed school schedule to the nearest campus cashier’s office. After paying take the receipt to student government near administrative services, take a picture, get the ID and start using it.
