A special categgory for announcements from Bernie Sanders
The Fight For Racial and Economic Justice with Bernie Sanders and Cory Booker

Black Lives Matter

Bernie continues the Fireside Chats, this time with Cory Booker in the aftermath of the Black Lives Matter Uprising. Bernie handled this cleverly asking Booker to confirm his attendance at Yale Law School, later drilling down to why people cannot afford medicine - one of the many economic injustices that exist in the United States - knowing, like an open secret, that Cory Booker is among the perpetrators of this injustice.

Bernie Sanders Hosts Virtual Coronavirus Roundtable

On Friday evening, March 20th Bernie Sanders hosted a “virtual” roundtable from his office in Burlington Vermont. The presentation was similar to the virtual rallies with musical guests giving us personal concerts. Between the music Bernie updated us on what is happening in the Senate and conducted interviews with Sara Nelson and Saru Jayaraman – all important information for all of us.

Here is the roundtable in its entirety:

Campaign Update 03-20-2020

Bernie sent an announcement on Thursday. In it he outlines his proposals to deal with the coronavirus and asks us to sign a petition if we agree. The complete announcement is included below. Bernie also asks for our feedback, questions, and concerns with a new email address. The links to the petition and email are included.

When you sign the petition - only a first name is needed to add your name - the next screen will present five charities that you can optionally donate to. This was a surprise, but you have probably heard about it by now since the gesture has trended online.

Bernie Sanders Emergency Response on the Coronavirus Crisis

On March 17th 2020 Bernie Sanders addressed the nation regarding the coronavirus. The proposals are bold and will have to wind through congress. His $2000.00 per month cash to all citizens is the first to state how people obtain these cash payments.

The following day, March 18th congress approved (and Bernie voted for) a bill which will give citizens two cash payments, means tested (based on income, etc), and so far no way of knowing who qualifies or how to obtain the payment. Bernie stated that it is a step in the right direction, but more must be done.
