Voting 2020

First, the primary this time, 2020, is extremely important. As I said to someone recently, “We don’t want another nut-case for president.” Bernie Sanders is our best choice, and only choice as some of us see it. No other candidate, in any party, can assure America of a win against the incumbent in 2020.

Next, know that there are changes in primary voting for 2020. As we already noted, Idaho had a deadline for party affiliation of December 31, 2019 in order to nominate Bernie Sanders. Kentucky has a deadline of January 03. 2020. But there are other changes.

Wisconsin and North Carolina purged thousands of voter registrations. These are voter registrations of people who had registered in the past, and the purges are done without notice to the people. So, if you are in Wisconsin or North Carolina, it is necessary, mandatory, that you check your voter registration and re-register if needed.

And, California. For 2020 California changed its Primary Date to Super Tuesday, March 03. This means, one, that the registration deadline to vote in the primary is different than it was in the past. It is now February 18th. But that’s not all. The second part of the change was found to be, also without notice to the people, that their party affiliation had been purged to “unaffiliated”. California, like many states, requires a Democratic party affiliation to vote in the primary and nominate Bernie Sanders. Please check your registration and make corrections if needed.

Thank you. Here are some voting graphics that people have provided to help you - mostly California, but scroll down for a North Carolina account of voting in that state.
