We will add all the rallies.
Bernie Sanders Wins NH Primary
Bernie Sanders wins New Hampshire Primary, February 11, 2020. Listen to his announcement:

Sunday, February 9, 2020 a big rally in New Hampshire for Bernie Sanders. The entire rally audio here.
In introducing Rashida Tliab there was mention of the BOOST Act which we had written about and followed up on a reader question regarding filing a tax return: should someone who does not have enough income to be required to file a tax return, file a tax return to qualify for the BOOST Act provision. The answer seems to be Yes, file an income tax return for 2019 in the event the resolution passes and is retroactive (it may be retroactive and this is mentioned in the bill itself, perhaps even more than one year, so file a return even if you don’t have to) but also read up on the two links in this paragraph. [However, see the latest update on the BOOST Act]
Bernie Sanders had some of the longest cheers coming on stage - and loudest, which he mentions as well.
John Conyers, with whom Bernie Sanders wrote the first version of Medicare For All, passed away on the day of the rally. John Conyers’ passing was mentioned by both Rashida Tlaib and Bernie Sanders. John Conyers worked on the original Medicare For All bill with Bernie in 2009. They were good friends and had worked together in Congress since 1990.
Rally in Venice CA - December 2019
Another big rally for Bernie Sanders, this time in Venice, CA. The intro section included live musical acts Young The Giant, Local Natives, and Jesse & Joy, and city council members, Center for Political Democracy, actor Tim Robbins, and author Cornell West. The live music is not included here, but we begin with some of the recorded music (before this, during mic check, was Tracy Chapman, Talking About a Revolution and Reggae.
Added the above clip from the rally, a personal favorite - Tracey Chapman singing Talking About A Revolution. Sorry the song was cut off during mic check, but if it wasn’t I probably would not be able to include the clip. Go stream it or something.
Cornell West introduces Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at the start of this file. AOC introduces Bernie Sanders. Bernie introduces Jane O’Meara Sanders, his wife and future First Lady, who speaks briefly about the campaign.
Bernie wanted to visit the Burlington in Iowa when he heard about it. An interesting thing happened at this Town Hall. There was a heckler. Bernie was taking questions and generally interacting with the crowd. One man said he was for Trump and started yelling. It sounded like security was going to remove the man, but Bernie said Let Him Speak. They did take the mic from the man. Bernie let him finish, said everyone gets to say what they want. The man started to speak again and Bernie told him he had his chance. I guess the man left after that. Compare Bernie’s response to Biden’s or Buttigieg’s recent blow off responses (if you listen to any of it). Bernie is the one wholesome, fair, an honest candidate for president. Be sure to register in time in your area to vote in your state’s primary or caucus.
Burlington Iowa and Burlington Vermont have a few things in common. One of them is that they both have Minor League Baseball teams. It happens that the Commissioner of Baseball has threatened to eliminate the 42 existing Minor League Baseball teams around the country. The threat violates a promise made not to mess with the Minor League Baseball teams, and pay the players better as well. After listening to the Burlington Town Hall audio below, there is a pdf of the letter Bernie wrote to the Commissioner or Baseball. You might be surprised to learn that the Federal Government funds the building of the large sports stadiums which are branded with corporate names.
Bernie Sanders and Ilhan Omar - NH
Full Moon Friday in NH
It was a full moon in New Hampshire when Bernie Sanders and Ilhan Omar spoke at two major rallies on Friday.
Next day’s New Hampshire Union Leader
Greta Thunberg makes the Back Page
Ilhan Omar on her refugee experience, on being radical, and introducing Bernie Sanders.
Bernie gives Ilhan a gracious thank you and speaks to a crowd of New Hampshire supporters.
Bernie Sanders’ rally in Minneapolis huge. The hometown of Prince, there was music by New Power Generation. Students got the crowd excited. Nina Turner, Keith Ellison, Ilhan Omar were among the many introductions.
Minneapolis was a huge rally. It looked like it took place in a stadium. The whole rally was three hours, ten minutes. There was live music, beginning with hip-hop artist Brother Ali and New Power Generation. Minneapolis is Prince’ hometown, and New Power Generation was Prince’ band for several years.
Dearly Beloved. We are gathered here today to get through this thing called life… Let’s go crazy for justice… Let’s go crazy for turning the dynamics of this country in the justice direction for everyday people. Let’s go crazy for a revolution. Who’s with me? (cheers)… In the words of Barbara Jordan, ‘What people want is simple. They want an America as good as its promise.’
- Nina Turner
Bernie introduces the next First Lady, Jane Sanders.
The grassroots movement we are building is a multi-generational, multi-racial, working class movement (cheers) that says, proudly and loudly, we are tired of the exploitation of working people of this country.
A few days after Bernie was in Marshalltown, Bernie was invited to speak with a group in Waterloo, Iowa.
This talk was a little different from the others. Here, Bernie gave the audience some details about Medicare For All:
- First $29,000 of income is exempt from any increase in tax for Medicare For All.
- Bernie gave an example of a $60,000 annual income: Medicare For All will cost $1,200 per year. That is $100 per month (not a typo). Compare that with whatever health coverage costs you now. No deductibles, no co-pays. Comprehensive health coverage.
- Prescription drug costs are capped at $200 annually. Even that, if I am reading the Senate Bill correctly, may be under specific cases such as if someone chose a brand name drug when a generic is available.
Several people spoke before Bernie, but we begin with Bernie’s introduction by Pastor Marvin Jenkins. Listen:
